
- What you need:
- Wifi-connected smart phone or Computer with working mic & webcam & good lighting.
- If you feel ill, check your resting heart rate & write it down.
- List of your medicines & allergies & which pharmacy you will use.
- A credit card & Gov’t. issued photo-ID (required).
- When you click the link, you will be asked to:
- Download the eVisit “App” (you must use the link provided!)
- Consent that you have read & agree to our Terms (eg- there is no physical exam, minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, etc.).
- Describe briefly what’s bothering you (eg- sore throat) & upload a photo of the affected area if you think it may be helpful, & your photo-ID (required).
- Request an appt. at an available time slot.
- What happens then:
- Prior to your appt. time, you will input data & be invited into the “virtual waiting room” where you can “Equipt. test” your mic & webcam (video streaming requires a strong wifi signal!)
- Once approved*, Dr. Kurlan will start your private video-conference shortly. (*approval depends on MD availability & the nature of your problem).
- Your video-conference will last ~10 minutes. It may be helpful to keep a small flashlight handy.
- Dr. Kurlan will discuss your diagnosis & treatment plan, & answer any questions
- End of the visit:
- Your credit card will be billed once. Your private record is secure.
- Pick up any prescriptions at your pharmacy. Approx. 10 min. after your visit, you may review your diagnosis & instructions by clicking on My Visit History icon & download the last page.
- If you need to get an X-ray or Lab test, the doctor will contact you when results are available.
- Note: if it’s a problem that cannot be solved with Telemed, you may be advised to get examined at a Dr’s office or hospital (if it’s an emergency). At his discretion, the doctor may apply a discount if that is determined quickly & easily.
